Dr. Maija Kuan is born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. Growing up in an active family, and participating in various sports as both a player and coach, she developed a keen interest in and passion for learning about movement and helping others. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan.
During her time at the U of S, Dr. Kuan spent many hours working as a student trainer for the women’s hockey team. This experience allowed her to collaborate with athletes and medical professionals, further igniting her desire to assist others in achieving their best. Inspired by many conversations with her own chiropractor, she chose to pursue a career in chiropractic.
Dr. Kuan earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Committed to patient-centered care, using a combination of manual therapy, patient education, and rehabilitation, she looks forward to creating an individualized treatment plan to help individuals reach their peak functionality. Additionally, she is certified in integrated needling acupuncture, and trained in active release therapy.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Kuan enjoys playing ringette, hiking, travelling, going to the lake, taking a class at one of the local fitness studios, and spending time with friends and family.
